Wendy toastmastered the club into the land of dreams.  Amy, our invocator, kicked off the meeting perfectly with an awesome quote from Steven Spielberg.  Oh that we would all dream for a living.

Lora, the soon to be kareoke queen of Round Rock, called on Russell, Carol, and Stuart for table topics.  Russell explained that his dreams for our country include the flux capacitor and the discovery of sources of energy other than oil.  Carol’s dream that’s come true is 29 years of marriage to the same man.  (Happy anniversary on February 9, Carol!) Stuart, though asked about a weird dream, relayed instead several explanations for the bandage he wore on the side of his neck.  They involved Buffy, corks, and a mole.

We had two spirited speeches.  Susana pondered the ever present issue of to hug or not to hug.  Rey encouraged us to pursue our dreams by writing them down, setting a timeline, and finding someone to hold us accountable.

Louis acted as general evaluator. Jenny and Stephen evaluated.  (The secretary had to take a phone call during the evaluations and apologizes for the brevity of the recap as it relates to the evaluation portion of the meeting.)

Before the meeting closed, we acknowledged the club’s recognition for sponsoring Dripping Spring Toastmasters, a new club that resulted from a dream that Patrick had.  We also announced a need for a photographer/videographer.  Anyone interested in that position should touch base with Keith.

Dream on, people.
